Tis’ the season for Christmas cards and we both love using these cards as an opportunity for our military family to update extended family and friends with our new address, latest life adventures, and everything in between. We’ve used several different companies over the years and ultimately our decisions come down to quality, cost, and convenience (pre-addressed envelopes for the wiiiin)!
Here is a breakdown of the 10 places we compare each year, and how they’re ranking price-wise this year!
Keep in mind all of these prices are estimates and are for 50 simple flat card designs with no special foiling or add-ons. Also worth noting, we are always trying to find the best discounts that these companies have but those change as the Christmas card season goes on! Most places do include envelopes with your order at no additional cost but look at the fine print to be sure that’s the case.
Postable – $194
You can save all of your addresses in their handy address book, request updates from your contacts in the address book with the click of one button, and get all of those envelopes addressed for you. They can even stamp and mail them for you!
Minted – $187
With some of their card options, you can get free recipient and return address printing and upgrade to luxe paper if you’re looking for high-quality materials and designs this is your place.
Snapfish – $157
Another option that has epic sales throughout the year and offers an option to choose return address printing for free.
Shutterfly – $100
A good middle-of-the-road choice if you’re not willing to compromise quality, but really cringe at the higher price points above. You can also select to do the recipient, return address printing and have them stamped and mailed for you.
Zazzle – $92
Support artists with their independent designs on these cards and still keep it budget-friendly, a win/win!
Walgreens – $80
You’ll take a small hit on printing quality, but if you have a lot of cards to send out, this is such a great route to take to not completely sacrifice the look and quality you want.
Staples – $70
You can pick this option up at a store near you which helps avoid shipping costs altogether and gives you a decent amount of customization options for an affordable price.
Simply to Impress – $68
Their big selling point is that they offer free shipping, and we all know how annoying that extra cost at the “complete check-out” point can be!
Vistaprint – $49
Great quality for the price, but truly what has kept me coming back as a customer is their customer service. They don’t offer recipient and return address printing, but you can purchase labels through them which makes it a little easier for the savings you’ll be getting.
Costco – $33
We’ve never tried this option personally, but wow just comparing their card options from last year to this year and hearing how easy the process was for friends has us really considering it!
