Things to know about Dover Air Force Base
Since moving to Dover, I’ve learned to “pick” blue crabs and have a newfound appreciation for football, especially the Eagles! Travis and I both went to college in Colorado, which is where I am from and then went on to Laughlin which is only six hours away from his family; so it has definitely been a shock living so far away from our family but we are so grateful to be here and be together and that makes it just a little bit easier!

When we first moved to Delaware, I was excited to live close to the beach, but didn’t have an optimistic outlook on the rest of the city or state. However, I was wrong. Delaware has so much to offer. Small town living, while near the beach. It’s a short few hours from D.C, Philadelphia, and even NYC. The community at the base has also been welcoming and easy to connect to both our first time here and second. Delaware is proud of being “the first state” and we have come to love this first state!
